F5 Introduces AI Guardrails Integration With NVIDIA

As enterprise AI adoption accelerates, one challenge continues to slow deployment: security. F5 has introduced a new solution designed to address that problem by bringing centralized governance and runtime protection to AI applications.

The company announced that F5 AI Guardrails is now integrated with NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, combining F5’s enterprise security capabilities with NVIDIA’s AI framework. The integration aims to simplify how organizations protect AI applications running across hybrid and multicloud environments.


Many enterprises currently build AI applications using different large language models, orchestration tools, and frameworks. While these platforms often include basic safeguards, security policies are typically embedded within each individual application. This creates inconsistent protection and makes governance increasingly difficult as organizations expand their AI deployments.

F5’s latest offering separates security from the AI application itself. Instead of requiring developers to implement security controls inside every application, organizations can apply policies centrally across their AI infrastructure.

According to F5 Chief Product Officer Kunal Anand, enterprises no longer face a shortage of AI applications but instead struggle with maintaining consistent security and governance across them.

The platform inspects prompts and responses exchanged between users and AI models, helping identify risks such as prompt injection attacks, unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information, malicious responses, and data leakage before they reach end users.

Among the platform’s primary capabilities are:

  • Real-time inspection of AI prompts and responses.
  • Centralized policy management across multiple AI applications.
  • Unified visibility into AI activity regardless of model or framework.
  • Independent security architecture that can evolve separately from AI development.

The layered architecture also allows developers to continue building AI applications without waiting for security teams to modify application code. Security administrators, meanwhile, maintain centralized control over inspection and governance policies.

NVIDIA said the collaboration expands the protections available for customers deploying large language models into production environments.

The solution is designed to remain model-agnostic, allowing organizations to switch between different AI models while maintaining the same security policies and governance framework.

The announcement also received support from technology partners including Equinix, Red Hat, and World Wide Technology, all of which highlighted the growing need for scalable AI security as organizations move from experimentation to enterprise deployment.

F5 confirmed that AI Guardrails integrated with NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails is available immediately.
