The trusted discovery e-commerce platform TikTok Shop announced that the recent Ramadan and Raya period generated over 130% year-on-year (YoY) sales growth for both Malaysian-made products by #JomLokal MSMEs and authenticity-guaranteed brands under TikTok Shop Mall.
The strong and inclusive growth momentum is underpinned by the RM20 million support provided through TikTok Shop’s #JomLokal Booster Stimulus Package, alongside continuous investment by TikTok Shop to ensure a safe shopping experience.
TikTok Shop Malaysia’s Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Nur Azre Abdul Aziz, emphasised: “The sales uplift for premium brands on TikTok Shop Mall reflects growing consumer confidence and trust. Safety is our top priority and TikTok Shop has invested nearly USD1 billion globally in tools, technologies, and people to protect our community of shoppers, sellers, and affiliate creators.”
Between January and June 2025, TikTok Shop rejected more than 70 million product listing attempts globally, representing a proactive removal rate of more than 99.5% for products that violated its robust end-to-end policies. The platform also declined 1.4 million seller account registration applications globally that did not meet its rigorous standards. Since April 2025, TikTok Shop has further supplemented its safety efforts by launching the #ShopSafe scam prevention initiative to continuously educate Malaysians on best practices when shopping online.
“Concurrently, homegrown MSMEs are not falling behind and have consistently shown competitive resilience, as they are able to be discovered and build communities through TikTok Shop. We are committed to continuously spotlighting Malaysian-made products and empowering local entrepreneurs through #JomLokal to drive inclusive economic growth and digital participation for local MSMEs,” Azre stated during the TikTok Shop Raikan Raya award ceremony.
Since its launch in September 2025, TikTok Shop’s dedicated #JomLokal Booster Stimulus Package has funded commission fee waivers for more than 5,000 MSMEs, conducted 14 workshops that upskilled over 1,000 new sellers, and facilitated matchmaking sessions that resulted in over 1,000 affiliate creators promoting Malaysian-made #JomLokal products.
Minister of Communications, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, alongside the Deputy Minister of Communications, Teo Nie Ching, recently officiated the award ceremony at the TikTok Shop Raikan Raya event, which recognised top local sellers and affiliate creators on TikTok Shop during the recent Ramadan and Raya period.
